On August 25, Director Zheng Zhanjie of the National Development and Reform Commission chaired a forum with enterprises to discuss the scientific formulation of the "14th Five-Year Plan," and listened to opinions and suggestions on expanding domestic demand and stabilizing employment. During the forum, the leaders of the enterprises introduced their own production and operation situations and the development of their respective industries, and put forward specific policy suggestions for the development during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period. Director Zheng Zhanjie carefully listened to the speeches of the enterprises and had in-depth communication with everyone. The participating enterprises mentioned that, faced with new opportunities and challenges in the international and domestic markets in recent years, they are actively planning for transformation and development, and are working to promote connectivity and mutual promotion between domestic and foreign markets, striving to serve the construction of a new development pattern. They suggested that the country should further improve policies in areas such as expanding domestic demand, promoting orderly market competition, protecting intellectual property rights, promoting green and low-carbon development, and safeguarding the talent and employment of enterprises in the formulation of the "14th Five-Year Plan," to help enterprises achieve better development. At the same time, the participating enterprises stated that they will accelerate innovation and development, consciously resist disorderly competition, actively stabilize and expand employment, and make more efforts for the sustained and good development of the economy. Director Zheng Zhanjie stated that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, China's development environment faces profound and complex changes. At the same time, the advantages of the socialist system with Chinese characteristics, the super-large-scale market, the complete industrial system, and abundant talent resources will be more prominent. We must have confidence in development, effectively respond to various risks and challenges, and continue to promote high-quality economic and social development. The opinions and suggestions put forward by enterprises will be carefully studied and absorbed in the formulation of the "14th Five-Year Plan." It is hoped that enterprises will strengthen their confidence, seize opportunities, make full use of both domestic and international markets and resources, conduct market competition in an orderly manner, and make more contributions to expanding domestic demand and stabilizing employment. The National Development and Reform Commission will deeply implement the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, continuously improve measures to expand domestic demand, actively create a fair competitive market environment, support enterprises in accelerating technological and product innovation, increasing the supply of high-quality products, solidly stabilize employment, expand employment, and promote high-quality and full employment. At the same time, strengthen regular communication between the government and enterprises, help solve practical difficulties of enterprises, promote the healthy and high-quality development of the private economy.
