Ton-level eVTOL successfully completed its first cross-city test flight in Guizhou.
On November 20th at 2:00 PM, the eVTOL cross-city low-altitude transportation route test flight activity in the mountainous area of Guizhou Plateau was successfully held at the Guizhou Low-altitude Flight Service Base in Guiyang. A 2-ton eVTOL aircraft independently developed by Peakflight Aviation Technology, loaded with emergency drugs and specialty agricultural products, took off from Xiuwen County, Guizhou City, and flew 118 kilometers in 40 minutes before landing precisely at Jiu Prefecture General Airport in Huangping County, Qiandongnan Prefecture. This test flight is the first time that an eVTOL aircraft of over 2 tons has achieved cross-city low-altitude logistics transport in the Yun-Gui plateau. This aircraft is a "fully certified" eVTOL by the Chinese civil aviation, and it is also the world's first eVTOL aircraft of over 2 tons to receive this certification. It has both vertical take-off and landing capabilities and fixed-wing cruising capabilities, with a cruising speed of up to 180 kilometers per hour, a maximum payload of 400 kilograms, a range of 200 kilometers, and can fly day and night in complex weather conditions. It effectively overcomes the transportation difficulties brought by the karst topography in Guizhou, providing a new solution to the low efficiency and high cost of logistics in mountainous areas.
